Abstract
This study was set to establish the influence of commercial bank automation on the deposit’s
mobilization at Nakatunya municipality, Soroti city. The purpose of the study was to examine
the various bank automation tools used by commercial banks, to examine the deposits
mobilization of commercial banks and to assess the relationship between commercial bank
automation and the deposits mobilization
The study was carried using descriptive research method. The sample size of 25 respondents
was used. The study used qualitative and quantitative techniques to analyze the data
collection, data analysis was done through transforming information got to a more
representative way, simple frequency tables, percentages and graphs was employed to
facilitate analysis in order to establish the relationship between the variables The findings
show 90% of the respondents agreed with the view that the coming and use of automated
banking has improved deposits mobilization, 75% agreed that they were very safe under the
automated system
The study recommended more aims should be established in all sub towns throughout the
country so as to increase accessibility of bank services and attract more customers to the
bank. Training sessions should be arranged to enable ignorant customers learn the application
of automated banking tools, as on many occasions the system break down as a result of
wrong entries made by customers while using automated machines
