dc.description.abstract This study investigated the impact of ICT implementation on effective service delivery at C-care IMC Mukono. The research objectives were: to examine the nature of ICT implementation at C-care IMC Mukono and to examine the impact of ICT implementation on effective service delivery at C-care IMC Mukono. The study will benefit Information and communication technology service providers, it will also make organizations appreciate the role of ICT implementation on effective service delivery and act as a reference to other researchers. The study population was 60 employees of C-care International Medical Centre Mukono and the sample size of 52 was selected. A quantitative research design and a cross-sectional survey design was used to collect and analyze data. The study used Self-administered structured questionnaires as a principle data collection instrument which were administered to the staff of C-care IMC Mukono. Users of ICT in the selected population were stratified in order to respond to the questionnaires. The analysis of the collected data was done by use of descriptive statistics in the form of frequency distribution tables and means aided by the statistical package for social sciences. Findings revealed the nature of ICT implementation at C-care IMC Mukono which includes use of electronic health records, telemedicine, mobile health, wearable health devices, medical equipment, internet and electronic payment systems in C-care IMC Mukono and other private health facilities leads to effective service delivery. And the impact of ICT implementation on effective service delivery at C-care IMC Mukono included: easy access to patient’s records, saves a lot of time, ability to monitor the patients’ health status, minimization of mistakes, facilitating health information dissemination among others. The study recommends that private healthcare facilities should improve on how ICT is being implemented and this can be done through buying equipment and installing infrastructures that are necessary in treatment of more complicated illnesses. The researcher also recommends the investigation of the impact of healthcare ICT implementation to involve patients as respondents too and not only confining those to medical practitioners. This will provide researchers with an opportunity to draw a more informed conclusion on the impact of healthcare ICT implementation on effective service delivery. The study concludes that the use of electronic health records, telemedicine, mobile health, wearable healthcare technologies, internet, medical equipment and electronic payment systems facilitate effective and efficient delivery of healthcare service delivery.
