The study focused on examining the relationship between management practices and employee retention in Mbale Regional Referral Hospital. It looked at the following objectives: firstly, to assess the relationship between recognition and employee retention; secondly, to determine the relationship between promotion and employee retention; and thirdly, to examine the effect of delegation on employee retention. It involved a population of 45 and a sample of 40 participants. The study utilized both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies to predict the outcome. Pearson’s correlation coefficient analysis revealed significant relationships between recognition, promotion, delegation, and employee retention. The study recommends immediate employee recognition, promotion based on merit and demonstrated performance, and active delegation of responsibilities to enhance employee commitment and performance.
