Abstract
In the face of today’s landscape of ultra-competitive businesses, modern universities face the
ambitious challenge of fostering entrepreneurship, promoting creativity, and nurturing
students' aspirations to embark on entrepreneurial ventures. The imperative to contribute to the
entrepreneurial spirit has prompted universities to re-evaluate traditional approaches and
introduce innovative entrepreneurship programs. This shift is influenced by various factors,
including the evolving image of entrepreneurship, individual qualities, environmental
considerations, the university's study processes, the study environment, and the overall
infrastructure. Recognizing this transformation, the research aims to explore the mediating
roles of self-efficacy and learning orientation in the relationship between entrepreneurshiporiented training and the entrepreneurial intentions of students at Uganda Christian University.
The study further seeks to determine and compare the multifaceted factors influencing students'
intentions to initiate their own businesses within the university context.
