dc.description.abstractThe Purpose of this study was to examine the impact of sustainable practices on reducing environmental foot print in supply chains. Specifically , the study explored the impact of sustainable practices on reducing environmental foot print in Supply chains for Mukwano Industries Uganda Limited .The study used an approach of descriptive research design , this approach facilitates the collection of quantitative data that can be analyzed to identify relationships between variables Data was collected using questionnaires and it was found that that sustainable practices help to reduce environmental foot print in supply chains including use of renewable energy, waste reduction techniques, play a crucial role in reducing environmental footprint in supply chains. Furthermore The findings revealed that waste reduction techniques contributes positively to protecting the environment and reducing the strain on natural resources hence sustaining the environment for future generations. The study concludes that sustainable practices have a positive impact on reduction of environmental foot print in supply chains. Overall, the research contributes to the existing knowledge on sustainable practices as a relevant case study for supply chains.
