Impact of Risk Management Strategies on the Performance of Centenary Rural Development Bank Mukono Branch

Abstract

The research study was conducted at Centenary Rural Development Bank Mukono with a topic of the Impact of Risk Management Strategies on the performance of Centenary Rural Development bank Mukono. This topic had primary objectives that where driving to the main objective and these includes impact of Risk avoidance on the output of Centenary, Impact of Risk acceptance on the quality ,Impact of Risk transfer on the profit of Centenary rural development bank. Chapter one involved the background of Risk management strategies which also involved the risk management process including Risk assessment, risk identification, risk analysis , risk evaluation and then risk treatment. It talks about the Risk Management Committee guided by its terms and references ,this helps the organization on how to handle risks. The researcher employed a descriptive research design, a qualitative research method was also used which included use of an interview guide and observation methods to analyze data and sampling techniques. The research study which contained some of the risk management strategies revealed that there is need for the organization to bring up a team to deal with risk management this means that they will have to come up with strategies of risk assessment which helps to identify different risks that take place within the organization. The study also revealed that the bank should have continuous trainings on how to handle various risks like fraud which is very common both among clients and staff. In conclusion ,the research provided various valuable insights to help the organization to grow. The bank can also get more risk management strategies that could also help them to run the business.
