| dc.description.abstract | This research explored the multifaceted ways in which digital technologies reshaped supplier relationships. It delved into the adoption of technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), and big data analytics and more in supply chain operations. The objectives of this study evaluated the effectiveness of digital technologies and identified the barriers and challenges that these technologies brought into organizations. Findings proved that these technologies facilitated real-time visibility, transparency, and traceability, fostering trust and collaboration among supply chain partners. One significant outcome of this digital transformation was the emergence of predictive and prescriptive analytics, enabling suppliers to anticipate demand fluctuations, optimize production processes, and proactively address disruptions. Moreover, blockchain technology introduced immutable and transparent ledgers, ensuring the authenticity of products and the ethical sourcing of materials, thus enhancing the credibility of suppliers. Digital technologies also facilitated communication and information exchange, allowing suppliers to be more responsive to changing market conditions and customer demands. This improved communication led to quicker issue resolution and better risk management, contributing to overall supply chain resilience. Furthermore, the research explored the challenges and barriers that organizations faced in embracing these digital transformations. These challenges ranged from technological integration issues to concerns about data security and privacy. Strategies to mitigate these challenges were discussed, including the importance of a robust cybersecurity framework and continuous training of personnel. The integration of digital technologies profoundly impacted supplier relationships within supply chains, fostering collaboration, transparency, and agility. These enhanced relationships, in turn, positively influenced supply chain performance metrics, such as cost reduction, improved delivery times, and increased customer satisfaction. However, organizations had to navigate the challenges associated with digital adoption to fully harness the potential benefits. As the digital landscape continued to evolve, ongoing research in this field remained critical to stay ahead in the dynamic world of supply chain management | |
